Almanac

Privacy Policy

Effective 25 September 2026

Almanac is an open-source WhatsApp CRM, operated by Tuhin Patra, an individual based in India ("Almanac", "we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to personal data on this website, almanac.bar, and why the Almanac software itself sends us nothing.

The short version#

This website#

What we collect: nothing directly. The site is a set of static pages.

What our host logs: the site is served by Vercel Inc. Like any web host, Vercel processes technical data needed to deliver pages and keep them secure, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested, for a short period. See Vercel's privacy policy.

Links: buttons on this site lead to GitHub, Supabase, Meta, OpenAI, Anthropic and others. Their own privacy policies apply once you're there.

The Almanac software#

Almanac is self-hosted: you install it on a computer or server you control and connect it to accounts you create (Supabase, Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform, and optionally OpenAI or Anthropic). As a result:

Email#

If you write to tuhin@almanac.bar, we receive your email address and whatever you include. We use it only to reply and help you, keep it only as long as needed for that, and never sell or share it, except where the law requires.

Your rights#

You can ask us to see, correct or delete any personal data we hold about you (in practice, only emails you've sent us) by writing to tuhin@almanac.bar. We reply within 30 days.

Children#

This website and Almanac are meant for businesses and are not directed at children under 18.

Grievance officer#

As required by the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its rules:

Tuhin Patra, Grievance Officer Email: tuhin@almanac.bar

We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.

Changes#

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its effective date. Material changes will also be noted in the project changelog.
